7 Tips for getting web traffic

1.  Write More Articles

if you have the time start writing more articles and post them on your site.  Come up with catchy headlines.  Keep coming at topics from different angles.  Go to ezinearticles and take a look at their article templates for more ideas.  You could also look at using plr content for coming up with article ideas.  This could help if you are having a hard time trying to come up with new topics.  Keep coming up with new content. 

2.  Create Videos

Having information in multiple formats could be a big help.  You probably already have a lot of written content.  Think about using that content in new ways.  Could you turn all those articles that you have written into videos?  If you don't want appear on camera you could do slideshow presentations.  There is software that can help you create videos quickly. 

3.  Write an Ebook

Back to writing again.  People are always looking for information.  Take some of your articles and put them together and make an ebook.  People love ebooks.  The amazon kindle and the barnes and noble nook are just a few of the ways people can get access to your information.  People might also want to download your ebook from sites online and read it on their computer.  Just make sure to have links in your ebook back to your main website.  Plus you could give away an ebook for people joining your email list.

4.  Create Flyers

You don't have to do everything online to generate your web traffic.  Don't forget about old school marketing.  What about creating your own flyers that have your web address on them.  Business cards, stationery and flyers are all fair game.   You probably have all the software that you need to create flyers.  Just go for it. 

5.  Post on Forums

Forums are a great place to learn more information about your favorite topics.  They focus on a specific area and if they have a lot of members it can be a way to get traffic.  Make sure that you check the rules of the forum.  Participating in a forum can give you access to many web users from around the world.  As you share information people might want to learn more information about you and your business.  Forum signatures allow you to have information that appears whenever you make a comment.  A link to your site could be seen by a large number of people on the forum.  You could potentially get traffic when you add to the conversation on the forum.

6.  Social Media

Social websites allow people to share information online.  Including information in your profile could help lead to web traffic.  As you make comments and updates people might want to learn more.  Lots of people using social media websites so the potential for traffic is there.

7.  Blog Commenting

There are a lot of blogs online.  Bloggers create information and they want to get reaction from their visitors.  Commenting on blogs can allow you to give your thoughts about the topic.  Some commenting systems on blogs allow you to include a web address.  Providing good informational comments could lead to the blog visitors coming to your site.
