Create High Quality Web Content

Got the blog setup. check.  Got good high quality web content loaded into the blog.  Check.  Installed the google analytics code.  Now just sit back and wait for the internet traffic to start showing up.  Ha.  You are going to be waiting a long time.

Getting your blog created is only the starting point for getting web traffic.  People are creating blogs all the time.  So just throwing up a blog online and posting one or two quick articles is just not going to cut it.  Sure I have tried it too.  You get a good idea for a website and you already have web hosting so you think hey why not go for it.  You already have unlimited web hosting so its not going to be that hard to put up another site.  You get a cheap domain name probably a .info and a few minutes later you have a site showing up on the web.  Everybody is talking about wordpress to build a website and its easy to get it installed so that is the way to go.  You don't want the site to look like every other blog on the web so you get a new wordpress theme.

The site is all ready but you now have to come up with some content.  You have some choices.  Are you going to sit and write a bunch of content yourself.  That could take a lot of time and you just want to get something up there so that your site doesn't look bare with no posts but the hello world post.  So you think about spending all that time sitting at the computer and coming up with all those articles and you think to yourself why should I do this there has to be another way to get high quality articles for my site.  You could go get some plr but you are still going to have to make changes in order to use it.

This is what happens everyday as people start putting up websites.  Are you thinking through your website development.  Getting your site setup is just the beginning.  You need to think about how you are going to get people to come to your site.  Are you going to hire writers to create content for your site?  Are you going to sit down and do it yourself?  Are you going to buy auto blogging software to create posts for you.

In order for your site to be successful you are going to need to figure out your strategy for getting web traffic.  You can focus on article marketing.  Use software to identify keywords that will help you develop highly targeted titles for your articles.    You could focus on using short videos.  You could build an email list and create a newsletter.

Hopefully some of the ideas can help you.  Think really hard about your web development projects.  You have to test out your ideas.  Sometimes inexpensive websites lead you to making bad decisions.  Create a real plan for getting web traffic before you start.
